About This Experience

Don’t just eat seafood—discover the hidden stories, craftsmanship, and culture behind Japan’s world-famous Tsukiji Fish Market! While many tourists wander the outer …

Our Verdict: the most food of any tour here — and the only one open to all ages

If you are here to eat, this is the deepest tasting list we carry: three types of tuna including nakaochi, plus uni and ikura, three or more further street-food tastings, and a visit to a 60-year-old restaurant to watch the morning prep — the closest any of these tours gets to the working side of Tsukiji now that the wholesale trade has gone to Toyosu. You also make gunkan sushi.

It is the only tour in our list that states all ages can join, and its notSuitableFor is empty. For a mixed-generation family that is genuinely rare here — most of the tasting tours exclude somebody.

The honest counterweight: at 4.63/5 it carries the lowest rating of the eleven tours we list, from a decent 176-review sample. Not a red flag — every recent review we can see is positive and names the guide — but it is the one number on this page we won’t dress up.

Skip it if you are vegan or vegetarian (no options available), or if wheelchair access matters — the operator says parts of the itinerary are not wheelchair accessible. Bring cash for extra street food.
