The booking detail that matters most is in the operator’s own small print: on Wednesdays, Sundays and national holidays, about half the shops in the outer market are closed. They say tours still run and remain worthwhile, but the experience differs. Every Tsukiji tour is affected by this; this operator is the only one in our list that says so upfront, which we think reflects well on them. Take the warning at face value and book a Tuesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday if you can.

Book it if you want the cheapest guided option with a bit of ceremony to it — the guide brings a wasabi set to sharpen what you taste, and the route covers the outer market plus Tsukiji Hongwanji.

Understand: food and drinks are excluded here too, so this is the same pay-as-you-go model as the other $13 walk. Choosing between them is nearly a coin toss; that one has four times the review volume, this one has the wasabi set and the honest calendar warning.
